Privacy notice

This notice covers what happens to the details you send through Sliding Doors Uckfield, by form, phone or email. Last updated 27 October 2026.

What is collected

When you use the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the type of door or window job you chose, and anything you write in the message box. When you call or email: whatever you tell us in that call or message.

The site does not run analytics, advertising tags or social media plugins, and does not build a profile of your visit.

Why, and on what basis

Your details are used for one thing: so that a window and door installer can contact you about the job you asked about, arrange a survey and give you a quote. The lawful basis is that you asked for this, and it is a step taken at your request before any contract.

Who receives them

Form submissions are emailed to the FENSA-registered installer that covers Uckfield and the surrounding villages. That installer becomes responsible for your details from then on and will explain its own privacy terms when it contacts you. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes the form submission in transit. Nothing is sold or passed to anyone for marketing.

How long they are kept

If your enquiry does not lead to a job, your details are deleted 12 months after the last contact with you. If you go ahead, the records of your job are kept for 6 years after the work is finished, because they are needed for tax, for the guarantee and in case of any legal claim.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details held about you, to correct them, or to have them deleted. Email [email protected] or call 01825 701460. If you are not satisfied with the reply, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
